Overview

Lola are very proud to be involved in reimagining the most iconic children’s series in the world. We worked closely with production company Darrall Macqueen to reinvigorate and update the show for a new audience without losing the familiar charm of the original. Although CG drives the whole process and features throughout the episodes, we chose to mix it with more traditional film techniques rather than produce a CG version of the original show. A combination of live action characters, huge sets and props, CG animation, and a massive 4m 3D-printed model background gives this long-awaited revamp an exciting and unique style.

As sole VFX vendor, we produced 60 brand new episodes – more than 500,000 frames of Tubbie action!
